I installed emcc via
# git clone https://github.com/emscripten-core/emsdk.git
then
# cd emsdk
# git checkout 3.1.0
But I have no particular reason to believe that tag's better than a
later one when it comes along.
# ./emsdk install latest
# ./emsdk activate latest
