On Google Chrome|Chromium|Vivaldi,Opera >12.16, type on URL bar:

chrome://extensions Check "Developer mode", click on "Load Unpacked

extension" and select ~/xdm-helper folder.

On Mozilla Firefox, simply drag and drop file ~/xdm-helper/xdmff.xpi.
