Installing gperftools may improve compilation performance, but is not required. GTKWave is recommended for use at run-time, but not required. Verilator supports integration with SystemC. However I don't need this for my use case so I ahve not enabled it. If someone else wants to do the legwork of porting it, I will gladly make the changes to this port to support it. -- Charles
