Added a patch for parallel builds, two more to fix building on
14.0, and some compiler flags needed for the new gcc-4.7.x.

This field used to make sense in our pre-git days, but
the Signed-Off-By: line serves the same purpose (and
even more) now, so APPROVED has been rejected. ;-)

This update includes a patch to build against glibc-2.12.x.
I actually did this update, but I shot it over to vbatts
for a lookie before going any further with it... That
said, blame me if there are problems... :-)
